BLAU is a celebration of the incredible variety of Blaufränkisch. Its capability of a true translator of soil, climate, region and Pannonian culture makes it one of the world’s most distinctive varieties. Especially in the past 10 years we have seen a ‘new old’ interpretation focusing on the work in the vineyard that allows the expression and nuances of each origin to shine.

BLAU will be Newcomer Wines’ most comprehensive showcase of this variety to date — inviting some of the world’s most esteemed growers. Among them are some of Austria’s and Central Europe’s most respected domaines — wineries that have led the way for this unique variety in the past and are shaping the market for a future generation of growers eager to follow their footsteps.
